One of my FAVORITE homemade Cakes!
KENTUCKY BUTTER CAKE
I have made this Kentucky Butter Cake the past few thanksgivings and it is SUPER easy to make and a HIT where ever you take it!
Ingredients:
CAKE:
3 cups All purpose flour
- 2 cups Granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup Butter
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 tbsp Vanilla
GLAZE:
1/3 cup Butter
- 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 Tablespoon Water
- 2 Teaspoon Vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the Oven to 325
- Grease your Bundt Pan (I use Bakers Joy with the blue lid) or you can use butter.
- After Mixing all of the cake ingredients pour into the Bundt Pan.
- Bake for 65-75 Minutes or until you can stick a toothpick and it comes out clean.
- Once the cake is done being made leave the cake in the pan and start making the Glaze.
- Combine the Glaze ingredients into a saucepan on the stovetop and stir until sugar is dissolved and butter is completely melted. Do NOT bring to a boil.
- Poke holes all over the cake using a knife and pour the glaze all over the cake while it remains the pan.
- Once the cake is completely cooled inside the pan then invert the cake onto your plate.
- I like to sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top to add character.
- Serve & ENJOY!
I normally take it at thanksgiving but you can use ANY time of the year!
**** I did not create this recipe I got it off of Pinterest (FULL Disclosure- for my Real Estate friends who will get this) ******
