One of my FAVORITE homemade Cakes!

KENTUCKY BUTTER CAKE

I have made this Kentucky Butter Cake the past few thanksgivings and it is SUPER easy to make and a HIT where ever you take it!

Ingredients:

            CAKE:

3 cups All purpose flour
  • 2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
    • 1 cup Butter
    • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla

GLAZE:
 1/3 cup Butter
  •  3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  •  2 Tablespoon Water
    •  2 Teaspoon Vanilla

       INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Preheat the Oven to 325
  2. Grease your Bundt Pan (I use Bakers Joy with the blue lid) or you can use butter.
  3. After Mixing all of the cake ingredients pour into the Bundt Pan.
  4. Bake for 65-75 Minutes or until you can stick a toothpick and it comes out clean.
  5. Once the cake is done being made leave the cake in the pan and  start making the Glaze.
  6. Combine the Glaze ingredients into a saucepan on the stovetop and stir until sugar is dissolved and butter is completely melted. Do NOT bring to a boil.
  7. Poke holes all over the cake using a knife and pour the glaze all over the cake  while it remains the pan.
  8. Once the cake is completely cooled inside the pan then invert the cake onto your plate.
  9. I like to sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top to add character.
  10. Serve & ENJOY!

I normally take it at thanksgiving but you can use ANY time of the year!
